Occupational Health & Safety
Occupational health and safety is always a top priority, both at Kummler+Matter EVT as well as our parent company, Bouygues Energies & Services. Our primary concern is to ensure that our employees return home to their families every day after work just as healthy and safe as when they arrived. This also applies to our customers, the people who use the buildings entrusted to our care, as well as our subcontractors for whom we bear responsibility in the course of our day-to-day activities.
Safety at work, a common value
We want to embed these occupational health and safety values deep in our company and in our employees’ minds. We aim to achieve this through the following measures:
Employee training and awareness boosting
Our employees receive regular training and have their awareness raised on varied and diverse issues relating to occupational health and safety. Some of these training sessions take place within individual teams. Others take place once a year, right across Switzerland, on the World Day for Safety and Health at Work (SafeDay).
Our employees say STOP
We regularly call on our employees to say STOP in dangerous situations and to stop work where necessary. This does not just apply to work that we carry out ourselves, but also to situations in which our colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers or customers might be at risk.
Instructing suppliers
Before starting work, our suppliers and subcontractors receive on-site instruction from an expert about potential hazards and the steps they need to take in an emergency.
Providing safe work equipment
We make sure that our employees have the appropriate work equipment to enable them to carry out their work as safely as possible and without accidents.
Learning from mistakes
In the event that an incident occurs, we aim to learn from our mistakes. Every accident is reviewed on-site, with the people affected, by specialists from our Safety department and, where possible, processed for use in future trainings.
When it comes to occupational health and safety, we are not prepared to compromise, and we do everything in our power to offer our employees the safest possible working environment. That’s because every accident prevented is a gift to our employees, their relatives and to the company.
